What are CFDs?

A Contract for Difference (CFD) is a contract between a client and a CFD provider which requires the provider to pay the difference between the current value of an asset and its value at the closing of the position. CFDs provide a way to hedge risk while simultaneously speculating and enhancing the risk exposure of your portfolio. As CFDs are leveraged products there is no need to present the full amount of capital up front, just the margin as a down payment.
